What Most Gurus Won’t Tell You

I’m sure many of you have seen advertisements or infomercials that pitch their programs that are so easy and step by step that “anyone can do it”. They even show testimonials about people that have made thousands of dollars in a matter of weeks or days with seemingly little effort. These testimonials are good because they help you realize you can do it too. Unfortunately, many seem to forget to mention the work and effort it will take on your part to make it all happen. It will require you to get out of your comfort zone and do new things. If you don’t understand that, it will sabotage you right from the beginning!

Quite contrary to a lot of the marketing hype, there will actually be roadblocks and believe it or not, things don’t always go exactly as planned! You might actually experience some disappointments along the way and that’s OK, it is a part of the process!

Maybe that isn’t what you were hoping to hear, but I think it does you a disservice to give you unrealistic expectations when you’re beginning. Sure it may help you get excited but if you go out and encounter some rejection or obstacles you didn’t expect, that can be really discouraging; I know. It may even dishearten you enough to give up before you reap the rewards of your efforts. Unfortunately, that happens to a lot of people because of this marketing approach. Not just in real estate, but network marketing, internet business opportunities, and so on.

The concern may be it will bring in less sales, maybe that’s even the focus. But isn’t the point of putting together a program to help people be to actually help them?? If I can provide as many resources as possible to ensure your success along with realistic expectations, that will mean referrals and more rewarding growth in the long run. Right?

So is all the excitement bad? No, it can actually be an asset to you, as long as it isn’t grounded in unrealistic hype! You want to have goals and passions that excite and motivate you! What drives you? We don’t become involved in real estate just because we like to buy or sell houses. It is a vehicle! How is it a vehicle for you? Do you want to create financial security for your family? Maybe you want to pursue other aspirations or contribute to charities where money is no longer an object.

Whatever it might be, you need to make sure that is your driving force, so it will outweigh any obstacles you may come up against. There is a lot of money to be made in real estate. A lot! This has been, by far, the fastest most powerful financial vehicle for me. It has literally changed my life. Understand; more millionaires are made through real estate then by any other business vehicle, so is it worth it? Definitely; and you’ll agree when you do your first deal that makes you more in weeks than what most people make in a year!

Just understand it will take work and effort. Approach it properly; develop a solid foundation and game plan. Use your goals and passions to excite and drive you instead of the hype to expect overnight success with ease. It doesn’t exist and will only discourage you for the real opportunities that are all around you! If you approach real estate with that mindset, you will find your success will actually come with more ease and you will be prepared for any potential roadblocks and blow right past them!
